Listen Later

First up today, we take a look at the Iowa caucus and what it could mean for the 2020 presidential election with journalist Max Blumenthal.
Then, Reynaldo Morales joins Esty in the studio to discuss his recent travels to Colombia and Peru and his ongoing work in land rights and Indigenous justice in Latin America.
Max Blumenthal is an American journalist, author, blogger, filmmaker, and founder of The Grayzone. He is the author of several books, including Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel (Nation Books, 2013), and has written for the New York Times, The Nation, and Al Jazeera English, among other publications.
Reynaldo Morales is a doctoral candidate in education and environmental studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he does joint research with the School of Education and the Nelson Institute. His scholarship focuses on the shifts in science and environmental research related to the restoration of Indigenous knowledge systems and the protection of Indigenous genetic resources.
