Our society is being contaminated—both literally, with toxic chemicals pervading our lived environments, and politically, with authoritarian worldviews and white nationalism on the rise. For today’s episode, we hone in on these topics.

In the first segment, we hear from journalist Sharon Lerner about her extensive reporting on PFAS. For the rest of the hour, we’re joined by anti-racist political education trainer Hilary Moore to discuss her new co-authored book, No Fascist USA!

Sharon Lerner is a reporter at The Intercept, where she covers health and environment. Her work has also appeared in the New York Times, The Nation, the Washington Post, and other publications. Hilary Moore is an anti-racist political education trainer with the Leadership Team of Showing Up for Racial Justice.
