This episode was pretty intense, albeit hilarious. fleaback and Claire are sent to a retreat for Mother's Day, in a transparent attempt by their father to get them as far away from himself as possible. This results in an unexpected confession from Fleabag, and I really don't know how Claire will deal with it.

This episode I start on a new series called The Children Of Divinity, and the first in the series is called Awaken and was written by Heather's husband! So that's pretty neat.
I really enjoyed the start of this book. It was full of surprises, from the writing style to the setting, and had enough mystery and supernatural fun going on that I really want to know what's in store. I am not sure what kind of story in ahead, but Heather has commissioned another episode in a few months so stay tuned to find out!

Unfortunately, this did not stick the landing for me at all. I really get what they were trying to do, but there were a million holes in the explanations given for things, there weren't explanations for things that needed them, and the themes I felt VERY confident the show was concerned with just...stopped mattering.

In these chapters, we get to go inside of Daryl's mind and see what it's like...and honestly it's confusing but kind of awesome. Also, Nita is dealing with Dairine and her father's feeling after her mother's death, in an effort to keep the family together and also to maybe avoid dealing with her own? And she relocates Dairine's bed to Pluto...along with enchanting the rest of the furniture in the house. Amazing.

So we get some real uncomfortable shit this episode, from several directions. First off, it looks like Claire's husband not only has a drinking problem but is also willing to put the moves on her fucking sister, which means that he could already be fucking around with someone else. He grosses me out.

From what I've read in reviews since finishing the show, this episode is considered by most other viewers to be a major failure. Personally I don't entirely agree, but I certainly don't think it was executed well.

So this episode is the one where we finally get to see the shape of Peter's whole plan, and Rebecca's role in it. The kids are meant to simply be vessels to these two adult ghosts, and remain tucked away in a memory for the duration of their natural lives.
But it turns out that Miss Jessel isn't as forgiving, or forgetful, as she seemed.
