These chapters are the ones in which we discover that Darlington was murdered by being lured into the open mouth of a hellhound, and that nobody ever survives that. Not even just physically, either; his soul is gone and that's why he's not on the other side of the veil.

But apparently demons can survive? So I'm holding out hope that he's a secret demon or something. I know, I know. Unlikely.

Also, Blake is here but things don't add up for me and I don't think that he killed Tara. It doesn't make sense.
