From 1960 through 1972, all of the National Football League's great quarterbacks felt the sting of the St. Louis Cardinals' sterling free safety, Larry Wilson. If the league's passers weren't being smashed to the ground after a safety blitz, they were watching helplessly as Larry, far down field, was picking off one of his 52 career interceptions.

Curley Culp, an All-American in football and wrestling at Arizona State, was selected in the second round of the 1968 draft by the Denver Broncos. The team attempted to switch him to guard on offense and when the experiment did not work, Denver ultimately dealt him to the Kansas City Chiefs where he instantly became an integral part of the club’s dominating defense.

Warren Moon the first African-American quarterback elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. During his 17 years with the Oilers, Vikings, Seahawks and Chiefs, Moon went to nine Pro Bowls. In 1991, he set NFL single-season records with 404 completions and 655 attempts (both since surpassed). He is No. 4 in NFL history with 49,325 passing yards, No. 4 with 3,988 completions and No. 5 with 291 touchdown passes. And he added 22 rushing touchdowns. Quite an accomplishment for an undrafted free agents whom NFL scouts didn't think could play QB in the NFL.

During Page's tenure, the Vikings won four of the five NFL/NFC title games in which they played. Page, who in 1971 was named the National Football League’s Most Valuable Player, was only the second defensive player to be accorded such an honor. He was also named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year in 1971 and 1973. These days, he's an associate justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court

Willie Lanier played middle linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs for 11 seasons from 1967 through 1977. As the first African-American to star at that demanding position, he not only was a true pioneer but also the key man on one of the National Football League's strongest defensive teams.

When you talk about the best running backs in NFL history, there are only a handful of names ahead of Eric Dickerson. Dickerson made the Hall of Fame in 1999, made six Pro Bowls and was named to five All-Pro first teams. Dickerson's career rushing total of 13,259 places him seventh on the all-time list. He is the only running back in NFL history to rush for more than 1,800 yards three times and 1,600 yards four times.

Veteran coach Sid Gillman called Marchetti "the most valuable man ever to play his position." He was voted All-Pro seven times and played in 10 Pro Bowls (the broken leg kept him out of an 11th). In 1969, he was selected as the best defensive end in the NFL's first 50 years, and in 1972, he joined the ranks of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Larry began his football career at Bethune – Cookman college as a two way tackle, team captain, and an All Conference choice at Bethune – Cookman College, he enjoyed only moderate success with the San Diego Chargers his first two years.

In July of 1969 He was traded to the Miami Dolphins, it didn’t take long before the 6’1” 265 pound offensive tackle was touted as one of the NFL’s premier Offensive lineman. As a right guard Larry accomplished several achievements, an intimidating force in Miami’s rushing attach, a superb pass blocker, and an extraordinary blocker in front of the Dolphins rushing attack of backs Csonka, Kiick and Morris.
