John interviews David Birch, the bowler at the other end of what was the most remarkable bowling performance of all time by a certain Ken Maxwell who took an unbelievable 10 wickets for 1 run in 2.1 overs in May 1984 for Marchington Cricket Club.

The one run being a no ball which only a year earlier would not have gone against the bowlers figures.

We hear David's thoughts on what it was like, not just to play in this amazing game, but to be the bowler at the other end !!

🎙️ THIS WEEK IN SPORT: AMERICA, CONTROVERSY & A FOOT IN THE WRONG PLACE!

This week, John and Martin are joined by special guest Clayton Bryan for a transatlantic sporting adventure through all things American — where the hits are hard, the opinions are questionable, and the facts occasionally take a holiday!

The NHL is back, the NFL is in full swing (especially if you’re a 49ers fan), and baseball has reached the World Series… with the Milwaukee Brewers taking on the Tampa Bay Rays. Or at least, that’s what we think is happening. Someone might want to check the fixture list!

Meanwhile, across the pond, Manchester City are in the firing line. Will they get a gentle slap on the wrist and a fine so small they’ll find it down the back of the sofa? That’s Martin’s prediction. Or, as John reckons, will they be booted out of the Premier League and sent packing to the Championship? One thing’s for sure — there’ll be no shortage of hot air, dodgy predictions, and absolutely no legal expertise!

We’ll also tackle the mysterious world of Boxing Soccer — because apparently, regular football just doesn’t involve enough punching — along with a whole heap of sporting nonsense, heated debate, and questionable analysis.

And, of course, John delivers another Kim Kardashian joke that nobody asked for, before we get down to the serious business of finding the click… and removing the foot. Don’t ask. Just listen.

So grab a beer, settle in, and prepare for a show where the sports are global, the banter is questionable, and the experts are… well, John, Martin and Clayton.

Cliff talked about his early days as a young kid and how he became a professional even sleeping in a Police cell one night.

This week I had the pleasure of interviewing former professional Super Middle Weight title contender, Michael Culbert all the way from Brockton Massachusetts. Michael goes into detail about training in the world famous Petronelli Boxing Gym (Trainers of the great Marvin Hagler), his fights with Mickey Ward and his fight against the world famous Roberto Duran AKA Hand of Stone.

A wonderful insight into a career of an elite athlete in the hardest of all sports.
