Elmo Wright was an entertainer at heart. He didn’t play football until his junior year in high school, after a football accident took him away from the band and to the football field. Wait, what? Wright earned all-state twice in his last two years of high school, and later all-American as a collegian when the entertainer surfaced again with the creation of the end-zone dance. He talks about how the dance is just a way to express the joy that came with achieving his goals.
