Charles Barkley announced his retirement from broadcasting after the 2024-25 season, but there are reasons to believe he may not actually retire. Barkley has flirted with retirement before and has a lucrative contract with Turner. He could potentially earn more money if he moves to another network. Additionally, the constant questions about the future of the NBA on TNT may have pushed Barkley to make the retirement announcement to avoid further speculation. Overall, it is unlikely that Barkley will retire and he will continue to be a presence on TV.
