I make a way too early prediction on whether or not Trevor Lawrence, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, will go to the NFL. Plenty of news as well, including the Los Angeles Dodgers winning the World Series and the struggles of the Dallas Cowboys.
The NFL continues to struggle with more positive tests for COVID-19. We look at a spot in the sports universe previously undiscussed, WWE and professional wrestler. The NBA Draft is next month so there's a way too early prediction regarding it, before going into news about the NBA Finals and other sports postseason updates.
COVID-19 made its biggest impact yet on the NFL this week and I share thoughts and updates on that. The podcast gets its first guest with Faraz of UpperHandFantasy.com sharing his thoughts on sports in the time of COVID. We revisit some way too early predictions that may not have turned out too well before going into the latest in sports news, with Major League Baseball announcing fans will be present at the NLCS and World Series.
So many sports continue their play during the pandemic, leading me to wonder why I haven't been enthused by the start of college football in the past few weeks. I'll get into the dysfunction that is college football and how it impacts my will to watch. I make a way too early prediction regarding the World Series, while also talking about the NBA conference finals, happenings around the NFL, and the social media frenzy around the unprovoked criticism Maria Taylor and Katie Nolan faced this week.
So much has happened in sports in the past week. The spotlight this week is mental health in sports stemming from Dak Prescott's comments on his battles with anxiety and depression. Way too early predictions is now its own segment on the pod and focuses on Joe Burrow vs. Baker Mayfield. Plenty of news as well regarding the NBA, Naomi Osaka, Major League Baseball, and the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
A football heavy week with the return of both college football and the NFL. We'll look at what football is like in the time of COVID, Colin Kaepernick back in the national spotlight, my way too early Super Bowl picks, and go over what happened in the first game of the season between the Chiefs and Texans. I'll also share some thoughts on news around the world of sports including Novak Djokovic and the NBA Playoffs.
