  • #27 2017 Seahawks NFL team preview series with Seattle Times Seahawks beat writer Bob Condotta
Hello again everybody, and welcome back to http://SportsKrunch.com/ with DKrom, I’m your host David Kromelow.
The NFL is still in the midst of its annual summer slumber, but it’s hard to believe we are officially less than one month away from the start of 2017 NFL training camps. In that spirit, we continue our 2017 NFL team preview series today with a look at the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are a lesson why NFL stands for “not for long.” In 2013, after blowing out the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII, there was talk of a potential dynasty brewing in Seattle. But after that ill-timed pass at the goal line in Super Bowl XLIX, the Seahawks have spiraled downward and now find themselves at a crossroads. So where do the Seahawks go in 2017 and beyond? Joining us today to give us the answer to that question is one of the few people who actually can. He is Seattle Times Seahawks beat writer Bob Condotta, and it’s a pleasure to welcome him back to the program.

    1. For the second straight season, a RB was drafted with the fourth overall pick as the Jaguars went with Leonard Fournette. What kind of season do the Jaguars need from Fournette in order to contend for the playoffs? Does he need to be as good or better than Ezekiel Elliott was last year?
    2. Can Cam Robinson be the Jaguars left tackle of the future or do you see him as more of a right tackle or guard?

At this very minute, rookies (both drafted and undrafted) on numerous teams around the NFL are filing in to rookie minicamp where they begin to make their case for a job. As they do so, we shall continue our division-by-division recap of the draft classes of all 32 teams and discuss what these rookies bring to the table. Today, we look at the NFC North. The Bears made the first of many surprising moves in the draft by trading up from 3 overall to 2 overall to select QB Mitchell Trubisky from North Carolina. Initially, the Bears got ridiculed for the price they paid, but it turns out it wasn’t as high as the capital previous teams have surrendered to move from 3 to 2. However, criticism remains. • #18: AFC North 2017 draft class breakdown with Pete Smith of NFL Spin Zone
Hello again everybody, and welcome back to Sports Krunch with DKrom, I’m your host David Kromelow. We are back after a deserved week off because I personally needed some rest after that WILD roller coaster ride that was the 2017 NFL Draft. And now it is time to recap the draft classes of all 32 teams division-by-division and assess the potential they bring going forward. We start tonight with the AFC North, where we saw some of this year’s best drafts at least on paper in my opinion. And to help us break down the draft classes of the Browns, Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers is our good friend Pete Smith of draftbreakdown.com and NFLSpinZone.com.

    1. The Browns drafted Jabrill Peppers, apparently, to play a hybrid S/LB role. However, others such as former NFL front office executive Michael Lombardi prefer him at RB. At which position would you like to see the Browns utilize Peppers the most?

  • #17 Will the 2017 NFL Draft be the wildest, most unpredictable ever? Live mock draft w/Shelby Dermer
Hello again everybody, and welcome back to Sports Krunch with DKrom, I’m your host David Kromelow.
Well, Spring Football Christmas is upon us!! By the time you hear this, we will be slightly over 24 hours away from the 2017 NFL Draft. This past month or so, we here at Sports Krunch have broken down every group of prospects by position for you, and now all 32 teams have their big boards set for what promises to be one of the wildest, most unpredictable drafts in recent memory.
And to get you ready for the wild ride, we’re going to do a simulated mock draft. What that means is that this mock will try to give you an idea what goes on in every war room when a club is on the clock. Scouts, personnel directors and coaches lobby the owner and GM to draft somebody by ‘pounding the table’ and the owner and GM have the power to accept or reject those demands. In this mock, I will be playing the role of the scouts and coaches, and our good friend Shelby Dermer will play the role of the owner
