Shawn joins Brett on the show to talk about the Fort Wayne Komets season that ended yesterday with fan-appreciation day at the Coliseum for the last regular season game, as the Komets unfortunately missed the ECHL Playoffs this year. Brett asks Shawn if the reality that the season is over has sunk in yet, what the season was like coming back to the Komets, and about his plans for the future and continuing to play hockey. In the second hour of today’s Friday Sports Rush, Brett is joined on the guest line by the voice of the Indianapolis Colts, the one and only Matt Taylor! Matt joins Brett on the show today to discuss the Colts and the upcoming NFL Draft that is taking place later this month. We hear from Matt about what he’s seen of Chris Ballard’s process of going through a draft. We also hear about some of the positions and some of the players that Matt would possibly like to see taken by Indy. Brett and Matt also sneak in some talk about the Masters and golf, and about the Canterbury Cavaliers who won a Boys’ Basketball State Championship down in Indianapolis just a few weeks ago. Happy Friday! In the first hour of today’s last Sports Rush of the week, Brett is joined by Justin Cohn, who does a fantastic job of covering the Fort Wayne Komets for the Journal Gazette here in town! Brett has to ask Justin about some news that just came out that the Wheeling Nailers, a team that the Komets are fighting for playoff positioning in their division, will not be able to play their last two games of the weekend due to flooding at their arena in Wheeling. We also hear about what the Komets have to do this weekend to still have a chance of making the playoffs, and what other teams will have to do as well. In the first hour of today’s Thursday Sports Rush, Brett is joined by Pat Boylan, who does a fantastic job of his broadcasting duties for both the Indiana Pacers, as well as the Indiana Fever of the WNBA! Brett and Pat discuss the upcoming WNBA Draft on Monday that will more than likely seeing the Fever taking Iowa start Caitlin Clark with the first overall pick in the draft. We hear from Pat about what Clark will bring to the Fever not only on the basketball court, but to the Fever as a team and to the WNBA as a whole. Brett also talks to Pat about the Pacers fighting for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference as the regular season winds down, and who would be the best potential first round matchup for Indiana in the first round. Sam was out in Phoenix at the Final Four to watch Purdue’s win over North Carolina State, and loss in the Championship to the UCONN Huskies. We hear Sam’s thoughts about the loss against UCONN, and then dive into what the Purdue Boilermakers need to do roster and talent-wise here in the off-season. Today before the show, Brett and Adam hung outside the studio to witness the eclipse, and the two share about their experience watching the astrological event before getting into some sports talk! And speaking of sports talk, we have plenty to discuss from over the weekend! Including the controversial moving screen in the game between UCONN and Iowa in the Women's Final Four, there was also the South Carolina team going undefeated and winning the championship over Caitlin Clark and Iowa.
