Brett is on the road in Pittsburgh with the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons Men’s Basketball team as the ‘Dons will be taking on the Pitt Panthers tonight in a matchup of Horizon League versus the ACC. We hear from Brett about what he expects out of this game for the ‘Dons as they come into tonight with an 11-1 overall record, and what the ‘Dons can still improve on in this game and throughout the rest of the season. John is then joined in the first hour by PFW Women’s Basketball Coach, Maria Marchesano! The PFW Women are tipping off early tomorrow at 11AM against Aquinas, and we hear about the matchup taking place tomorrow at the Gates Center and a bit about the Women’s team as they’re coming off of a few losses. It’s the second hour of our Tuesday edition of The Sports Rush, guest hosted today and tomorrow afternoon by John Nolan! John is joined in the second hour of the program by Andrew Chernoff of WISH-TV down in Indianapolis to talk about the Indianapolis Colts. We hear from Andrew about what he thinks that the Colts need to do for the remainder of their regular season in order to find themselves in the playoffs spot. We then hear from Andrew about the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Saturday that saw the Colts get a win in an electric atmosphere at Lucas Oil Stadium, despite there being many traveling Steelers fans in the house. John and Andrew then shift their focus to the Indiana Pacers and the season that they’ve had so far, including a trip to the Finals of the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament. Brett is joined in the first hour of the show by James Boyd, who does a fantastic job covering the Indianapolis Colts for The Athletic. The two preview the upcoming matchup on Saturday between the Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers who make their way to Lucas Oil Stadium for the game this weekend. We get an idea from James just how important this game against Pittsburgh is, with both teams almost considering this a “playoff” game here in the regular season with both teams having a 7-6 record. Brett asks James just how important it is for the Colts to get their run game going in this game, as it’s been heavily hampered in their last few games. Brett also asks how the defenses of opposing teams are lining up against the Colts and what Indy can do in order to counteract it.
