In the first hour of a mid-week Sports Rush, Brett is joined by Tony East! Tony covers the Indiana Pacers beat for All Pacers, Forbes Sports, WTHR.com, and is a part of the Locked on Pacers Podcast! The Pacers are off to a 2-1 start on the season, and are headed into Boston to take on the Celtics tonight. We first hear about the injury status of some of the roster heading into tonight’s game, with a few of the Pacers players coming into tonight’s game with a questionable tag. Brett then talks to Tony about the start that the Pacers have gotten off to this season, and we hear from Tony about what he has seen from the team through the first 3 games of the season. The second hour of The Sports Rush today sees Brett joined by the one and only Kent Sterling! Kent is a media mogul covering many of the sports around the state of Indiana and you can always find him at KentSterling.com! Brett and Kent start off their discussion today by discussing the Indiana Hoosiers game over the past weekend that saw IU actually compete against a very strong Penn State team, only to be coached into complacency and a loss by Tom Allen going for a field goal to tie in the fourth quarter. Brett and Kent discuss how that play calling exposes a lot of the major issues with Tom Allen’s coaching, and the two also discuss just how hot Allen’s seat should be right now, even with the large buyout price. After football, the two discuss the Hoosiers Men’s Basketball team and some issues that Brett saw in the first half of their scrimmage against UIndy. Brett wants to know if Kent thinks that the Hoosiers Basketball team needs to be “humbled” a bit before competing this season in the Big Ten. Brett is then sure to grab Kent’s thoughts on the Connor Stalions situation at Michigan, with him possibly being seen in disguise on the Central Michigan football sideline.
