This week we sit down with Samara Sims, who is a senior member of the Drury Cheer team and a former OHS cheerleader. Samara recently competed at National in Orlando, Florida and placed seventh out of 21 team. She is finishing her final year at Drury and it was so great to do a podcast with her. This week Sports Time Out features guest Brea Ellis, OHS head cheer coach and former OHS cheerleader. Brea and the OHS cheer team is competing January 30 at Nationals in Orlando, Florida. Thanks to Brea for her time as it was great to talk with her about the team and her career. Male sure you support you OHS cheer team as they compete and hopefully bring home the gold.
This week STO sits down with Jake Doyle, head coach of the Odessa girls basketball team. Coach Doyle talked a little bit about himself as well as the ongoing basketball season. It was great to learn more about Coach Doyle, so thanks to him for his time. The girls have had a great start to the season so be sure to check them out as the postseason is around the corner.
Brittany Affolter is this week’s guest on Sports Time Out. Affolter is a 2022 OHS graduate and a current member of the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks softball team. She has won an Ohio Valley Conference regular-season title and an OVC Tournament championship and has also competed in the NCAA regional round of the softball postseason. The show thanks Affolter for her time.
This week I sat down with Justin and Roya Carter, owners of Ultimate Image Fitness Centers. They own four gyms across Odessa, Lexington, Holden and Concordia. This year they will be celebrating ten years of owning UIFC so It was great to talk to them about everything going on with that. Justin is also a 1994 State Champion of the Odessa High School Football team. I broke this interview into two parts so we really hope you enjoy! Thanks to Justin and Roya for their time and support!
This week our guest is Conner Greer, offensive and defensive line coach for the Wellington-Napoleon football team. Coach Greer joined the team this year and the Tiger accomplished a historic seven winning a conference and district title. This week STO sat down with second year head boys basketball coach Will Fox. Coach Fox is a great friend of the program and it was great to hear about everything going on in his second season. We talked about a great deal of things including Coach Fox's G.V.B. which is a big thing his team is working on. Thanks to Coach Fox for his time it was great sitting down and talking with him.
Wellington-Napoleon's football team play Concordia at 1 pm this Saturday in the state sectional round of the playoffs. This week we are going to talk all things Tiger football as we recap the season to get you ready for this Saturday's game.
