Team India is all set to take on England in the first of the five test matches on 04 Aug at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. India had beaten England when they last toured India earlier this year. Can India beat England at home? It will be interesting to watch the battle between the bat and the ball. Will pacers dominate or spinners rule? Hear out my analysis of both teams to know about the likely winner of the series.
Schedule of Matches: First Test- 04 to 08 Aug // Second Test- 12 to 16 Aug. // Third Test- 25 to 29 Aug. // Fourth Test- 02 to 06 Sep. // Fifth Test- 10 to 14 Sep.
Both teams are strong in their own ways but at present, England players are showing good form. Only a few Indian batsmen have shown good form. The matches will be well contested. Overall, I find that England is a stronger team due to their lethal pace attack and very consistent batting lineup. Spinners are almost ineffective in English weather conditions which favor the pacers.
The first test is likely to go the England way.

Let's analyze the upcoming T20I series between India and Sri Lanka starting 25 Jul 2021. With ODI series in it's bag, can India second-string wrap up the T20I series as well? Sri Lanka has improved with each ODI. Can Sri Lanka turn the tables by beating India in the series? Just wait and watch.
SL team fought back in the second ODI and proved their capabilities and potential but failed to tame India tailenders who steered their side to victory in the last over.
SL team is going through turmoil with many senior experienced players having been axed and many youngsters being ushered in to solidify their place in the team. It is worth noting that the top six batsmen of the regular SL team are out of the current team. Obviously, there is a huge void in the batting stability in the top and middle-order
I would call this the incubating period for SL. They have plenty of problems to resolve right from Injuries to personal discipline of players to chucking out senior players. All this will affect the morale of the team.
The SL batsmen need to be more aggressive and play with a resolve to stay at the crease. Their stroke play needs improvement.
The bowlers on the other hand are sweating it out giving their best and troubling the batsmen. The spinners led by Hasaranga have picked up wickets with ease. Pacers need to improve on accuracy find out areas that are troublesome for the batsmen and bowl right in there.
All-rounders of SL show a lot of promise and intent to improve. They are young and will mature fast in a few years.
The India team appears well settled with batsmen regaining form. Shaw toyed around with the bowlers in his high backlift style in 1st ODI. The batting looked a bit rusty in 2nd ODI. They were comfortable tackling pacers and spinners but need to improve. Indian bowlers are improving with each match.
Overall, the Indian team is better than their counterparts. With few new caps in the playing eleven, it will be worth watching how the team meets SL challenge in the T20 series. Few SL players may shine off and on.
Likely Winner: All the matches will be well contested. India will win the series 3-0.
Good luck to both teams.
