On today's show, Mike Detillier and Cullen Steele get together on the Saints practice squad signings as the team continues to sharpen their roster ahead of Week 1 v. the Panthers so we call up Deuce McAllister, Saints radio color analyst, to join us and sound off on how the roster is a "fluid" as can be and how we won't see the same names Week 1, or Week 2, or Week 4, and if the backup QB battle has come to a conclusion. Later on, Mike speaks with Cooper Perkins from BLEAV in USC to preview LSU's battle in Vegas against the Trojans as Lincoln Riley looks to silence the critics amid a Caleb Williams' shaped hole in his offense and if the Trojans can actually stay afloat in the Big Ten in their first year in the conference. We also have Steve Geller join us for Triple Option diving deep into the Saints, and the NFL. After that, Steve and Cullen hear from Dennis Allen on the latest from Saints camp and practice today with the returns of some familiar faces. Finally, we close out the show hearing from Saints sideline reporter and WWL digital content producer, Jeff Nowak, on the rarity that is Mason Tipton making this roster as a UDFA, the names we know and love on the Saints practice squad, if O-line additions are coming in the next few weeks, and we hear from a WWL listener on why is there such a stigma around Derek Carr whereas their is nothing but hype for Spencer Rattler?
In the final hour, Steve and Cullen dive into how the Saints are becoming a younger team and the benefits of doing so, the incredibly tested schedule that the Saints will need to show up against to become a playoff team, before having Saints sideline reporter and WWL digital content producer, Jeff Nowak, drops by to recap today's practice, the returns of explosive playmakers in Mason Tipton, Rashid Shaheed, and explosive play-stoppers in Marshon Lattimore and Kool-Aid McKinstry, before closing out the hour listening to what Rashid Shaheed is feeling about his usage in this new offense.
