Avi Sic drops our International Women’s Day Spotlight Mix

International Women’s Day might have been yesterday, but the energy carries on. And for this week’s Data Transmission Spotlight Mix, Chicago’s Avi Sic steps in with a high-impact session packed with club weapons.

Avi Sic has been a full-time DJ since 2008 and has built a reputation as one of Chicago’s most respected selectors. Her sets move fast and wide, pulling from house, tech, bass and big room energy without losing the groove. Years spent as an open-format club DJ gave her the range, and it shows every time she gets behind the decks.

She’s shared stages with names like Calvin Harris, Diplo, Don Diablo, Kaskade and Matroda, while also stepping outside the usual club circuit, including eight years as the official concourse DJ for the NBA’s Chicago Bulls and performances at sold-out stadium events with the US Women’s National Team. Brands like Nike, Google and Red Bull have all tapped her for events along the way.

On the production side, Avi’s music has landed across labels including Hexagon, Spinnin’, Revealed and Black Hole, with support from the likes of Martin Garrix, Diplo, Fedde Le Grand, R3hab and Robin Schulz. Her tracks regularly find their way onto Beatport charts and Spotify editorials, while her remixes and mixes have aired on BBC Radio 1, Insomniac Radio and Diplo’s Revolution.

She also hosts Late Checkout, her weekly radio show syndicated across more than 60 stations worldwide and reaching around nine million listeners each week. With the show approaching its 150th episode, it continues to spotlight guest mixes and fresh club music from across the scene.
