A new name, same club intent.
Lex Valverde steps into the Spotlight Mix for the first time, closing the chapter on Better Than Lex and moving forward under his own name. It’s not a rebrand for the sake of it. It’s ownership. Clearer identity. Tighter direction.
Five years in Germany left their mark. Now based in Amsterdam, he’s absorbed that European pressure from the inside, playing across Mexico, Europe and Japan and lining up alongside Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens and KI/KI. You can hear it in the selections.
This mix leans into the space between tech house and techno. Rolling low end. Tighter drums. Darker frameworks. It builds properly, no rush, no filler.
There’s a nod to the past with Better Than Lex – Believe In The Music on Data Transmission, but the energy is firmly forward-facing. Adam Beyer, Victor Ruiz, Carl Cox. Weight where it needs to be. Groove where it counts.
It feels like a statement without shouting. A DJ drawing a line and getting on with it.
Lock into Lex Valverde’s Spotlight Mix now and hear where the next phase begins.
