So why is my producer called CHUNKER, it could be because in his youth in Jordan he was VERY CHUNKY, hence the nick-name, a great family man, based in Seattle Washington USA, he now has four children, but loves the radio shows as he is a man with excellent taste !! with a new restaurant business in Marysville on the I5 (GYRO ONE) just noth of S.E. Everett near the SHELL GAS STATION (or petrol station as we say in the UK).
HOPE YOU ENJOY THE PODCAST. Your audio requests are very welcome too, no matter where you live in this CRAZY world :)
Love to all (my default) from SPREADERZ.

How essential is TURKEY at CHRISTMAS ? Despite the shortage of birds (700,000 fewer turkeys are available this Christmas, accoding to some newspapers, due to bird flu). I managed to get two Turkey Crowns from the brand new M&S Simply Food Store in Macclesfied with a £7 off voucher given to me on arrival, plus i already had another £7 in vouchers for M&S, so £14 off in total. Not bad at all & FREE PARKING !! and a brand new COSTA COFFEE & KFC !! This was half an hour after speaking live to Mike Sweeney about the shotage !
The wonderful KENNY EVERETT was born on Christmas Day 1944, one of the UKs most inventive Radio DJs and also TV personalities. Starting with NICE TIMG on Granada ITV in the 60s. THAMES TV let him lose in 1978 with the Kenny Everett Video Show with Hot Gossip ..... but I'm telling you the plot !! Ken left us on the 4th of April 1995 when I was in Jordan. I herard the news on the BBC WORLD SERVICE 1323 kHz from the Cyprus MW/AM transmitter and I cried. Kenny chooses his Desert Island Discs chatting openly and honestly to Sue Lawley.
Spreaderz talks to Jeremy Beadle on INDEPENDENT RADIO ( Viking Radio [ Hull ], received in Mottram in Longdendale, Cheshire near Glossop, Derbyshire ) back in 1986, when Jeremy was 38 years old and I was 27. Mr Beadle had just launched an ILR (Independent Local Radio) show called BRAINBUSTERS just after he started his prank show BEADLE'S ABOUT in 1986 on LWT (London Weekend Television), Jeremy died at the age of 59 in January 2008.
Edward in Hope Valley chooses his ALL TIME AMERICAN CLASIC TRACK but will it make the virtual juke box ? Plus a classic wind-up call from Mr Penkino.
All this and the beautiful ENYA sings a carol in Gaelic, what a voice she has, pure as silk.
A BUMPER 5 HOUR WINTER SPECIAL TO GIVE YOU SOMETHING COZY TO LISTEN TO ON THESE DARK WINTER NIGHTS in the NORTHERN HEMISPHERE :) OR ON THE BEACH IN AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND & SOUTH AFRICA :)

News Headines from Kenny Everett
Classic BBC Radio 1 Jingle (when it was on 247m medium wave (1215 kHz) / 202m in Bournemouth Poole and surrounding areas. 1215 kHz then was the frequency for BBC Radio 3 in 1978, followed by Virgin Radio, now Absolute Radio. Radio 3 is noe FM/VHF and DAB only apart from some parts of Wales where Radio Wales has taken over the Radio 3 FM slot to improve its reception in cars throughout Wales and parts of the MIdlands and North West England. Radio 3 DAB has the best quality bit rate on UK Radio (192 k bits per second) compared to 128 kbits/second for Radios 1, 1Xtra, 4 (except when 5 Live Sports Extra or the Daily Serviceor Yesterday in Parliament is on air when its bit rate drops to 80 kbits per second (MONO). BBC Radio 5 Live only broadcasts in MONO on DAB and always has with either 80 kbps or 64 kbps, depending on whrtheror not 5 Live Sports Extra is on Air and BBC Radio 4 Extra is in MONO also on DAM (80 kbps), Radio 4 Extra is in STEREO and always has been even when it was BBC 7 on Freeview Channel 708 and FreeSat Channel 708. The BBC World Service is also only in MONO on DAB with a nir rate of just 64 kbps but it is in (((STEREO))) overnight on BBC Radio 4 on both FM/VHF 93-95 and on BBC Radio 4 DAB, but not on its own DAB. Why dont Radio 4 give it their extra bits so it can be in stereo on its own main channel. I have never understood this ? All BBC radio stations are available now in (((STEREO))) on BBC SOUNDS but broadcast approximately 32-34 seconds later than FM, LW & MW which is bang and in real e time on FM/VHF, LW & MW. So dont set your watches to BBC Sounds, set them to VHF / FM, LW or MW, but not 5 Live MW which is one second behind FM. Odd this as all other MW stations are LIVE but not 5 LIVE ?? So if you want to hear 5 LIVE LIVE you can only do so after 1am on Radio Wales, Scotland or Ulster / Foyle until 6am Sometimes after midnight of your local / National station hands over to BBC Radio 5 LIVE at Midnight. You can also receive BBC 5 LIVE live in Cyprusd via BFPO in Cyprus on FM and in STEREO, oddly.
Classic News Item with Kenny Everett right at the end
HAPPY LISTENING FOLKS.
GOOD AFTERNOON ANNA
