Who or what is the final decider of what is true, right, and good? The answer to that question is found in the Reformation slogan “sola scriptura.” We begin our study of the doctrine of sola scriptura, “Scripture alone,” by considering the authority of the Word, and what it means for Scripture to be called “the Word of God.” Join us!

Is God “bothered” by the wickedness he sees in the world, or is he aloof and personally detached? Today’s passage is a poignant reminder that human sin is personally offensive to God and that judgment is the inevitable response of a Holy God to unrighteousness. In a similar manner, our church has an identity, and this awareness of who we are as a congregation informs our understanding of our mission and vision for ministry.
