A lot of people won't tell you this, but here goes: in a battle of mustards, a mustard's going to lose. And it sucks, honestly it does. Because then you think about all the good times you had with the mustard. How it was there for you with its tangy, zippy, vinegar-y, yellowness. Crisp and cold from the fridge, tracing the outlines of your food like a highlighter, the way it dances as it drizzles. And yet, all things fade. Nothing's going to last forever. Not even mustard. Not when it's matched up against a different, yummier mustard.
