Hi yogis and welcome to the Channel!

In this week's 35 min yin yoga sequence we'll do yoga poses that stimulate the liver and gallbladder meridians, which are energetic pathways of traditional Chinese medicine, to create seasonal balance within.

Spring Equinox is the time for renewal and growth. Now is the perfect time to tap into this potent energy of the season to get clear on what you want to accomplish this year and how you will reach your goals.

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a meditative practice that aims to balance out the yang energy in our lives. Although Yin Yoga uses many of the same poses as Hatha or Vinyasa yoga, the poses focus on the connective tissues of the body, such as fascia, tendons, and ligaments, rather than the muscles.

There are 3 primary principles of Yin Yoga:

  1. Find your edge
  2. Be still
  3. Hold the pose
