God's overall redemptive power, which will lead to the renewal of all things, is pictured through the marriage of Boaz and Ruth.

The integrity of Boaz and trust and faith of Ruth are the centerpieces of the redemption story. Those who take refuge in God’s redemptive faithfulness are able to fully put their hope in Him.

The redemptive plan of God is most often worked out in simple, quiet, and ordinary ways.

Ruth is a story of two migrant, childless widows. It's also the story of redemption for the entire world. As Ruth and Naomi cling to their hope in God in spite of chaos, we find a picture of the renewal of cosmos.

Arguably the most powerful parable of Jesus was not spoken, but instead acted out. By washing His disciple's feet Jesus taught us that no job is too small and that sometimes the work just needs to get done. Our service can't just be using our gifts for the edification of the church--sometimes we're just called to meet the needs of the body as they arise.

Romans 12:13-18

We are called to join God in the work that He’s doing in the people around us. We not only open our homes but our lives as well.

Paul’s description of growing up into maturity in Christ is counter-intuitive. Therefore, we must serve if we are to grow into people of love.

When we live sacrificially in the way God has uniquely created and gifted each of us, we experience the power of the Spirit in our serving.

In the upside-down Kingdom of God, true greatness is not found in power or position but in following Jesus’ example of humble, self-giving service.
