Do you ever feel like you need to get your life together before you can come to God?

Pastors Bill Van Kirk, Jack Guerra, and Adam Jackson discuss Hebrews 4:14–5:10 and what it means to approach God through Jesus, our great High Priest. They connect the passage with the previous week's reminder that God's Word exposes our hearts—and explain why that honesty can lead us toward God instead of keeping us away.

In the Deep Dive, Jack explains the high priest's role and why Jesus changed how the first readers of Hebrews understood access to God. The conversation turns to everyday prayer: coming with confidence and humility, bringing failure to God, and trusting him when his answer isn't what we expected.

The pastors also discuss why you don't need a pastor's special access to pray, and why trusting Jesus is the starting point of the confidence this passage describes.
