For some reason people think that David is the underdog in the story of David and Goliath. The problem with this line of thinking is everything. The Lord has helped David overcome lions and bears, so why would he fear the Philistine? Join us as we look at David’s triumph and learn how we can be a part of raising up generations who love the Lord as David does.

For Youth Sunday we are doing a two-part sermon, where part one will take place during the 9am service, and part two during the 11am service.

Saul was so tall that people couldn’t help but see him as a king. David’s oldest brother Eliab was even taller and more “kingly” looking. So why is there no story titled “Saul and the Philistine” or “Eliab and the Philistine?” They were both there, yet it was an anointed shepherd who rose to prominence through the challenge of Goliath. Come hear a message on the importance of living like David rather than looking like David.
