On Saturday evening, our Springbrook elder board prayerfully and unanimously made the decision to move all of our normal Sunday morning services online, and cancel all ministry activities until further notice. In Ezekiel chapter 15, God asks a series of rhetorical questions designed to show us that it is the fruit in our lives with which He takes pleasure and finds value. Without fruit in our lives, there is no evidence we have a relationship with Him and we are on our own.

Who's fault is it when a people are led astray by corrupt leaders? The short answer is probably "everyone." The longer answer is that we might be asking the wrong question. While we want to focus on who is at fault, God wants us to turn to Him. In Ezekiel 8-11 we see that God promises us a new heart and spirit as we turn to him.

The Lord has watchmen in place to bring a word to his people. From Ezekiel 3:14-27 we see that it is God's desire for His people to have a change of heart, and in chapters 4-7 we see how He will use a variety of ways to speak this to them.

From Ezekiel chapter 2 we find that God’s Spirit reveals Himself to us as we make ourselves available to Him, but He also gives us strength and clarity as to our purpose in life! Whether it is acquiring a new heart or encouraging a committed one, fresh revelation of the Lord is a necessity.

Prayer and fasting are rich and valuable disciplines of the Christian life, but desires more than these actions alone. Be our guest as we explore genuine fasting from Isaiah 58, and the joy from a heart of worship that isn’t based on ritual, but rather rooted in reality.

Some of the most famous words in Esther are "for such a time as this...", but have you ever read her response, which ends: "...and if I perish, I perish." Right after saying this, the exiled Jewish people began a three day fast. Join us this Sunday as we look at the book of Esther and how the Lord worked through some very compromised people who were willing to cry out to him.
