Springfield First Church of the Nazarene Podcast

Easter is a message of hope – hope from sin, despair, disgrace, death, and the grave. As we continue to look at the significance of the cross of Jesus, we hear an important message from Rev. Billy Graham, the preeminent evangelist of our lifetime.

The only means by which God offers salvation to sinful and broken humanity was a blood stained, first century Roman cross.

The cross of Christ is not only the fulfillment of the Old Testament sacrificial system, but it is the sacrifice made once and for all, in a specific moment in time for all time.

The Protestant Reformer Martin Luther asked how can God best be understood. After diligently searching the Scriptures, he came to the conclusion that God can best be seen through the sufferings of Christ on the cross.
