We worship a God who is pure and holy.

Will you be drawn to the God who gives life, or will you face the pure and righteous God who will exact justice for your sin? The sin of unbelief.

Going into the new year where are your priorities? Are you dedicated and loyal to God's word and law? Do you have time set aside daily that is specifically for that purpose? Do you as a Christian have a life that is devoted to God?

Are you amazed God has given you faith to believe? Are you amazed that you recognize Jesus as the Christ and the Lord? In Luke 1:39-56 Elizabeth's baby leapt with joy at Mary's greeting and the Great news. Jesus was born of a virgin. He is our Savior and Lord. Rejoice in God for He gave us faith to believe in Christ. God performed a miracle in our heart's to believe.

Our reward is coming. As Pastor Jeff shares a message from Genesis 15:1-6 reflect upon and ask the Lord what might you need to give up that is a response to the blessed hope? What areas in your life are ungodly? What things have you held onto in your worldly desires? And what worldly desires do you have that pale in comparison to the reward you have in Christ?

The Church of Laodicea had become the comfortable church. Comfortable with worldly standards. The church had loss the gospel. What ways have we entangled ourselves within the world? What ways have we raised up idols within our hearts? What worldly comforts are you willing to give up? Will you open the door when the Lord knocks?

The Church of Philadelphia was faithful. Faithfulness preserves you for eternal life. The crown of eternal life cannot be taken from you. Will you remain faithful?

Will you be judged with the nations or will you reign and rule with Christ? What areas in your life have you incorporated the teaching of the world into your walk with Christ? How many ways are you married to the world's system? All these questions and more to contemplate as you listen to Pastor Jeff McInnis' sermon on "Thyatira: The Tolerant Church" from the book of Revelation 2:18-29.
