"The Rural American Church Mission Field" - Helping Country Churches Thrive - Fred Stromberg
In this episode, we’re joined by Fred Stromberg who currently serves as Pastor at Azalea Community Church in Azelea, Oregon. So far throughout their journey in vocational missions, Fred and his wife Cindy have served as missionaries in Honduras, church planters in the Western United States, youth and family ministries on the east coast, and presently serve in their role in Oregon through their relationship with Village Missions. Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close. In doing so, Fred and his ministry partners have had a hand in preserving the Gospel presence in over 220 communities across the United States and Canada.

We began our time together by worshipping the Lord together in song, in the Word, and by praising Him through a special moment of testimony. This devotional was led by Pastor Neil Wood, former Camp Pastor for Changing for Christ Camp week and our honorary Board President.

Join Amanda and Chris as they introduce Season 6: The Spiritual Warfare Series.
Spiritual Warfare is something we each encounter every day. While it doesn't manifest the same way in every ones life, it has the real and common goal to distract us from God's Reality and sovereign plan: that all things work together for His glory and our good.
We look forward to how the Lord leads in this series and the conversations we look forward to having. Listen in and stay tuned…

Welcome to the Titans of Ministry series where we sit down with some of the most influential leaders in the Church who were crucial in developing the men and women we became. Most of us remember significant moments over our own lives that shaped who we are, but rarely do we pause to think about the experiences in someone else’s life that fueled their own passion to pour themselves into our own life.
With more than 77 years of experience living in a fallen world, Professor Steve Green was raised by renowned Bible educators Dr. and Mrs. Green on a firm foundation of love, adoration, and an utmost regard for God and His creation. Having a passion, seasonally mis-understood across various circles, the honorary Dr. Green has served the Church under many roles on this side of heaven.
Be it from a classroom, an office, a racetrack, or the surf, we trust that you’ll enjoy this multi-part series where we sit down with Professor Green to reflect on some of his own perspective of Christ-following against all earthly odds. While every season brings change, it’s undeniable that Steve Green lived in each one with intentionality.

Serving as a Camp Pastor for the “Changing for Christ” (formerly “Abundant Life”) week of Summer Bible Camp, Pastor Neil and Ms. Lynn represent the Church of Roanoke Valley in more ways than just their identity as a local church pastor. Growing up in eastern NC, Neil has used his roots and the power of slow cooking meat as a means for building relationships in the Church for more than 30 years.
A few summer camps ago, Pastor Neal presented the Gospel from the book of Galatians in a way that still resounds in my mind when I get discouraged in life…Galatians 2 vs 20 says…
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
Listen in as we discuss our role as Disciples of Jesus Christ, to intentionally pursue the culture of the Church to lead in changing the way that the world understands who Jesus is..

We begin our “Breaking-Down Legalism in the Denominations” series where we intentionally take on topics that have divided the Church for generations. In this episode we are joined by David Wise, a seasoned missionary stationed right here in Patrick County, who’s family has dedicated their life to “Taking the Gospel to the Spanish Speaking World” in the country of Paraguay.
Growing up in the Church, “Missionary Phrases” like "Annual Missions Conference" and "Missionary-Focus Sunday" conjures up thoughts of Sunday school penny drives and exotic trinkets from 3rd world countries. But most of us didn't put a whole lot of thought into what it actually took to get a missionary to the field, much less all that it takes to keep a missionary in full service…. Unknowingly, many versions of local churches have a created a culture that leads people to believe that "HOW" we accomplish the work is more important than "WHY" we go after the work of Discipleship in certain contexts.
Listen in as we discuss our role as Disciples of Jesus Christ, to intentionally pursue the culture of the Church to lead in changing the way that the world understands who Jesus is..
