And those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal. 21 And he said to the people of Israel, “When your children ask their fathers in times to come, ‘What do these stones mean?’ 22 then you shall let your children know, ‘Israel passed over this Jordan on dry ground.’ 23 For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan for you until you passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up for us until we passed over, 24 so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, that you may fear the Lord your God forever.” God always takes the weapons of death from the enemy and turns them into the power of life.”

God Has Always Wanted  A PEOPLE

Joshua 1:1-11

1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to  Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now  then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River  into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. 3 I will  give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from  the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the  Mediterranean Sea in the west. 5 No one will be able to stand  against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be  with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and  courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I  swore to their ancestors to give them.

Joshua 1:1-11

7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my  servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the  left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book  of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that  you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be  prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong  and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the  Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." 10 So Joshua ordered the officers of the people: 11 “Go through the  camp and tell the people, ‘Get your provisions ready. Three days  from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession  of the land the Lord your God is giving you for your own.’”

• Four Thoughts on Moving  Ahead...TOGETHER!
• It was a New Season
• It was a New Opportunity  They were given a Clear  Assignment/Territory
• It was already promised but  they had to Possess It

Reasons we don't want to fight... TOGETHER, as a spiritual family, to  possess our promised land

• It challenges our personal conveniences  and upsets our personal comforts
• We'd rather guard our personal interests 
• We'd rather fight each other

Philippians 2:1-4

2 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being  united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any  common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and  compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-  minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of  one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain  conceit. Rather, in humility value others above  yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each  of you to the interests of the others.

Job 38:4-7

7 when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Romans 1:18-19, 24-25

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.

And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it. 5 She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne…

Nehemiah 4:1-3

Now when Sanballat heard that we were building the wall, he was angry and greatly enraged, and he jeered at the Jews. 2 And he said in the presence of his brothers and of the army of Samaria, “What are these feeble Jews doing? Numbers 13:1-2

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel. From each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a chief among them.”

 

Numbers 13:25-29

At the end of forty days they returned from spying out the land. 26 And they came to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the people of Israel in the wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh. They brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 And they told him, “We came to the land to which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 However, the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. And besides, we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the Negeb. The Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the hill country. And the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and along the Jordan.”

 

Matthew 14:28-31

Dreaming With God - Part 2

Ephesians 2:10

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

You being the product of the vision of God has two primary implications for your life.

1.God has decided what you could and should be. 2.Dreaming with God requires our participation.

Dreaming with God is not only a point of conception, but also a maturing, birthing process.

1.You must understand that the vision has to mature in you. 2.The visionary must mature to fulfill the vision. 

 

Habakkuk 2:2-3

And the Lord answered me:

 

“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

Philippians 2:13-14

 …for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Do all things without grumbling or disputing

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.  Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Romans 5:6-11

“For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.”Through Jesus Christ, His obedience and redemptive work on the cross (the exchange of His life as the acceptable sacrifice required by God as the perfect lamb to take away the sins of the world), we’re now recipients of and witnesses to the grace of God!  He has given us His authority!

Colossians 1:20-23

“And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.  If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven whereof I, Paul, am made a minister.”
