Join Pastor Mark in lesson 4, the International Signs of "Babylon", in a series intitled "Signs of The End." Today's lesson is found in Revelation 18. Babylon has had her day in past-times, and she will have her day again in end-times. But even in this time - right now; today - Babylon is tempting and dragging people away from God. Put your faith/trust in God through His Son, Jesus Christ, today!
Pastor Mark is in the third lesson in a series entitled, Signs of The End. In this lesson we study the third international Sign: nation of Russia. We are seeing this historically antagonistic nation asserting itself again as it seeks to expand its power and influence. It is merely a matter of time before Russia stretches its claws toward the nation of Israel. But God has promised to protect Israel as seen in Ezekiel Chapters 38-39.
Pastor Mark's focus in the second lesson, in the series titled Signs of The End Times, will be on the International Sign of the nations of Europe. The stage is now set in Europe for these end-time events to occur. Daniel's prophecies warn us that the hands of the prophetic clock are moving toward midnight. Today's headlines call us to awake and to realize that things will not go on indefinitely as they now are. As the signs from Daniel's prophecies show us, things are already beginning to come to a head. Daniel 2:1-49, 7:1-14
Join in today as Pastor Mark begins a new series entitled: "Signs of The End." We begin with Part 1: International Signs - "Israel", found in Genesis 12:1-3. The fulfillment of God's covenant with Abraham greatly affects each and every one of us. As we begin this end-time prophecy journey, may you seriously consider what the Bible teaches us about Israel and take to heart Jesus' words in Matthew 24:32-33, "The fig tree branches become green and soft, and new leaves begin to grow, then you know that summer is very near. (33) In the same way, when you see all these signs happening, you will know that the end is very near; the My return is imminent."
Join Pastor Mark in the fifth and final lesson that centers on "A Portrait of God: Jesus."
(John 1:1-5, 9-14, 18) The most outstanding characteristic of Jesus is that He is God. Immanuel - God with us - God-in-the-flesh. To see Christmas from God's perspective is to understand that this is God's chosen way to reveal Himself - and His plan of redemption - to us; to clearly make Himself and His salvation known to the whole world.
Join Pastor Mark in the series, Portraits of Christmas. The fourth lesson focuses on " A Portrait of Seeking: The Wise Men." In Matthew 2:1-12, their story is a story of searching, looking, pursuing, hunting, chasing and tracking. As we are searching, looking, pursuing, hunting, chasing, tracking Jesus, let us realize that our decision to follow Christ will come at an inconvenience to self, with interference from others, and from our own intimacy with God. As the old adage says: "Wise Men Still Seek Him"...
"Portraits of Christmas"-this third lesson of five lessons, focuses on "A Portrait of Joy: The Shepherds." We may ask, "why the shepherds?" One reason God may have chosen the shepherds is that He wanted to demonstrate that His love does not discriminate on the basis of class, or wealth, or social status, or even religiosity. Luke 2:10 - "I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people."
On this second Sunday of Advent, as we are preparing our hearts/lives for celebrating the birth of Jesus, let's focus on this very special man whom God chose to be the earthly stepfather for His son and our Savior. What about you today? Will you choose to obey even when it's embarrassing? Will you choose to obey even when it's inconvenient? Will you choose to obey even when it's senseless?
Associate Pastor Doug Kamberg preaches a sermon on the holiness of God...and His call to our own personal holiness. "Be holy, because I am holy." Don't miss the informative and challenging lesson.
Over the next 5 Sunday mornings, leading up to and through Christmas Day, we are going to explore the Christmas Story through the eyes of some of the key people who played significant roles in the very first Christmas. "A Portrait of Humility: Mary"-on this first Sunday of Advent.
