Join Pastor Mark for the second lesson in a series, "The Great Cost of Discipleship-"Producing." In John 15:8-"This is My Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples." The question is: how do we show that we are truly disciples of Jesus Christ?
Pastor Mark begins a new series of lessons entitled, " The Great Cost of Discipleship." The first "test" of the authentic, genuine Christ-follower is all about "Abiding" found in John 8:31-32.
Join Assoicate Pastor Doug Kamberg as he discusses; "What is the Royal Priesthood" and "How are we a part of the Royal Priesthood?"
Follow along with Pastor Mark's sixth and final lesson in a series that focuses on Matthew 26:36-46, "A Question About Prayer." The key verse in this passage is Jesus' question in verse 40: "Couldn't you men keep watch with Me for an hour?" In this lesson we will identify 2 "prayer busters" - a smug well-being and a spiritual weariness: and identify 2 "prayer boosters"-a steady watch and a surrendered will. What are you?
Pastor Mark's lesson today is in Matthew 16:24-26, "A Question About Values." The fifth lesson in a series "Jesus, The Question Asker". The key verse in this passage is Jesus' question in verse 26: "What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?" So, what is your price? Or, in Jesus' words, "What would you give in exchange for your soul?
"A Question About Identity", is the fourth lesson in Matthew 16:13-20. Jesus asks us: "But what about you?... Who do you say I am?" This is the question of all questions and how we answer this question will ultimately determine our eternal destiny. What is your answer?
Jesus, the Question Asker, join with us as Pastor Mark teaches from Matthew 15:1-9. "A Question About Tradition" is the 3rd in a series of 6 lessons, Jesus is questioning hypocritical ritualism, ceremonial rites, religious duties or empty liturgy. Where is your heart today?
Join Pastor Mark's second lesson of six here in Matthew 7:1-6, "A Question About Judgement." Whenever we exercise judgment, we must always do so with the goal of edifying or building up. Here is the acrostic we may use:
*N=is it necessary?
*E=will it encourage?
*E=will it edify?
*D-will it dignify?
We often hear the phrase, "Jesus is the answer!". But what if Jesus is the question? That might change everything. Contrary to common assumptions, Jesus is not so much the Answer Man as He is the Question Man. We begin a new series of lessons, "Jesus, the Question Asker." WE are going to camp out in Matthew's Gospel and take a closer look at 6 of the key questions Jesus asked. Today's lesson is "A Question About Worry", Matthew 6:25-34.
