Springwind Sonic Soul Collage

An amazing man and artist left us June 19, 2021. My favorite. Timothy Parker aka Gift Of Gab. He and his partner DJ Chief Excel grew up here, in Sacramento, and met in Davis, at UC Davis. There developed a hip hop collective, Solsides Records with Gift Of Gab, Lateef The Truthspeaker and Lyrics Born. They share the mic on some of the songs here. Take it slow into another world.

A fascinating little journey with Eric Burden & The Animals and Ramones and a sprinkle of surprise.

A slightly surreal journey with Willy DeVille and Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band.........LIVE.

A ripple full of play and cosmic insight from Ohio's favorite sons.....DEVO. With a Springwind twist of live and rare cuts. We begin with others performing DEVO songs.

A ripple through the way too short of a career of Frank Zappa. We start live in 1968, at Whiskey a Go-Go with The Mothers Of Invention. And end at The Palladium in 1981. Let's start with Memories of El Monte.

An always cosmic and playful ripple through studio outtakes and early versions with a spot of live, from Talking Heads. Hop on board and let's hang out in the studios with the Talking Heads. And CBGB's in 1977.

We lost one of the greatest blues rooted guitarists of our generation, Peter Green, last July. I missed podcasting a memorial show with everything going on with lockdowns etc.. So here we go from Fleetwood Mac to The Splinter Group. C'mon and shake your hips. It's supernatural.

It's a Pere Ubu sandwich filled with slices of Television, Richard Hell and Mink DeVille. Let me dream if I want to. Mostly live.

A fun and rockin' ripple through the career of Ian Dury. A slice of music history that we in the USA got little exposure too, thanks to poor record lable promotion. He even have part 3 of Reasons To Be Cheerful.

A wild ride with rock & roll bands from the underground of the Soviet Union. We are taliking true underground. Many people blacklisted, imprisoned and killed.
