  • Divided kingdom and defeat (I Kings 12 – II Kings 25; II Chronicles 10-36)
    • I Kings 12:12
    • Roughly 20 kings each, most of them bad. Israel had only bad kings.
    • Israel conquered in 732 BC.
    • Judah conquered in 586 BC.
    • I Kings 12:26-33 – Jeroboam’s first act as king was to lead the people away from God.
    • II Chronicles 11:14-16 – Jeroboam’s error ran off all the good people. Israel was left with people who were not focused on serving God.
