It's been a while. In this episode I talk about the importance of keeping communications lines open, whether you're turkey hunting, talking to a friend/spouse, or to God. Prayer is something I struggle with immensely in my walk with God. Join me as we dive into the Word and talk about why it's important to keep those communication lines fluid between you and God and how to do so. As always reach out to me for anything and if I can help I will.
Today we talk about our priorities and if they are in line or not. For so long mine were out of whack and since I decided to get them in line, my life has been so much better off. The stress has been relieved of always feeling like I had to measure up in the otdoor world and I have found my purpose in life sharing the outdoors with folks and encouraging brothers and sisters in Christ.
Today we talk to Safiyyah Motaib about how she got into hunting. She is self taught and started out foraging and learning about the environment around her. Starting with which plants and trees were edible and then applied that to her gained hunting knowledge to become better at scouting/hunting. From her love of the environment around her she is able to piece together the story unfolding around her in the woods each time she takes a scouting trip for turkeys or other wild game. Her movement towards being knowledgable about the nature around us is something basic and primitive that was essential to some of the best hunters that came before us. But with the new advancements in technology, we trending away from this vital information that was once imperative. Join us in our thought provoking conversation and as we dig into how to once again get "in tune" with nature.
I talk with Brendon Paden today as we talk about his efforts to raise awareness and financial support for our conservation groups by running his small business and giving back 10 percent of each sale to multiple organizations. Brendon is passionate about keeping these game animals aplenty for years to come and being able to share the hunting experience with others down the road. His small business offers homemade candles, soaps and cutting boards where 10 pecent of the procedes goes back to organizations like: NWTF, Turkeys for Tomorrow, Delta Waterfowl, Pheasants Forever, Ruffed Grouse Society, Quail Forever, Nevin's Hunting Friends and The Fallen Outdoors.
