Today Jake and I discuss the hunting season this past year from Doves, Deer, Ducks and fall turkey hunting. We talk about what you might need this upcoming spring in the turkey woods as beginners and just share good friendly dialogue with my great friend Jake Murdock.
This weeks episode was spent chatting with my granddad. One the most important influences in my life in the tradition of hunting I now carry on. This episode has some great stories, talks about deer hunting and a little about turkey hunting. I recorded in his truck so apologies about the background noise, but I wanted to capture it while I could.
Today I had the chance to talk with husband and wife turkey hunters Bill and Shana Welch. They are as down home as down home can get. Bill and Shana share a lot of perspectives from the generational turkey hunter to the few years of experience turkey hunting. They key on factors such as "aggressive tactics", woodsmanship and willingness to learn from some old timer as the staples of their success over the years.
Today I spoke with Tennessee local Joey Bell about his experiences in the Turkey woods. We talked about the importances of hunter recruitment and also his adventures and quest for a Grand Slam on public land.
New episode content: Round Table with Allison Rauscher, Courtney Odgen and Cole Carr
Today I talked to Hannah Marcom on her experiences with Bow Hunting Turkeys. She had lots of tips for going after a gobbler with a bow. We also hit some controversial subjects on the hunting community and also shed some light on some things that need to be address in the hunting industry for women. Hannah is very down to earth and I really think her story needs to be told.
Today I talked to David of Oregon Custom Calls. We talk about hunting Turkeys in the Pacific Northwest and what to expect. We talk about turkey behavior for both Rios and Merriams in Oregon. As well as picked David's brain on his hunting strategies.
Jordan and I talk about his turkey memories and experiences. From there we dive into some of the Roostem hunting products and they experiences he's had using their products. Jordan is a good ole boy from my home state of Virginia, so naturally this turns into an interview with a long lost buddy. Go Hokies!
This episode was definitely the most I've ever laughed in a podcast. Josh and I cut up a good bit, while talking turkey and some of the funny experiences we've had in the turkey woods. Josh is a down to earth fella with some hunting blood in his veins. Hopefully you guys will enjoy this episode as much as I did.
I talk with Josh a great competition mouth caller about his tactics in the woods and on the stage. We go over some many great experiences he's had in the woods. This good ole North Carolina boy has some great stories and strategies to share about getting a longboard indoor truck.
