Welcome to the Squared Circle Podcast by your host Marie Shadows! July 23, 2023 is a major G1 Climax 33 event for today. C Block is stacked and has all my favorite wrestlers.
David Finlay took over Bullet Club right after completely hitting Jay White over the head with the sheleighly back at Battle in the Valley February 18, 2023. March of 2023 David Finlay constructed his new and improved Bullet Club by recruiting the best the wrestling world has to offer. Clark Connors, Gabe Kidd, Alex Coughlin, and Dan Moloney all joined Bullet Club and nicknamed themselves: War Dogs.
Despite new changes in Bullet Club under David Finlay, Evil and House of Torture remain. Evil and House of Torture are a sub-group within Bullet Club. Think of House of Torture like the NWO Red and Black Wolfpack sub-group of NWO. I believe that House of Torture can stand on their own without the Bullet Club name behind them.
House of Torture are a tricky bunch and don’t give a fuck about rules or anything. House of Torture consists of EVIL, Dick Togo, Sho, and Yujiro. They are the bad guys — the heels.
And so, the whole world, including me, have been asking David Finlay a simple question: Is House of Torture still part of Bullet Club? Is Evil still part of Bullet Club.
The match happens. I talk about the match.
David Finlay’s backstage comments answers our questions. He states, “Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.”
Right now, between House of Torture and Bullet Club it is checkmate. We’re going to continue to observe from afar, but everyone keep in mind that House of Torture can and will turn on anyone in a blink of an eye and still call you a brother to keep the peace. David Finlay is the leader and we’ll see how he’ll guide this situation.

Welcome to the Squared Circle Podcast with your host Marie Shadows! We continue our G1 Climax 33 review. This review is packed with story and questions.
As we head deeper into the days of the G1 Climax 33, for C Block a very important story plot is going to happen. On July 23, it will be David Finlay vs Evil. Evil is the leader to House of Torture. David Finlay is the new leader of Bullet Club. I provide background and details about the ongoing story within Bullet Club and House of Torture. House of Torture if a subgroup within Bullet Club and I believe that they overstayed their welcomed. House of Torture can survive on their own.
David Finlay mentions in his backstage comments how Evil decided to remind him who is at the front of Bullet Club. That’s a threat and David doesn’t take kindly to threats.
David Finlay needs a win against Evil during their main event on July 23.
I go into detail in the episode.
Here are the matches for the July 19, 2023 C and D Blocks:
Yano vs ZSJ
Mikey Nicholls vs David Finlay
Jeff Cobb vs Alex Coughlin
Eddie Kingston vs EVIL
Tanahashi vs Shane Haste
Shingo vs Henare
Goto vs Naito
Ishii vs Tama

Matches for A and B Blocks
Dear everyone,
We made it to episode 300 on the Squared Circle Podcast. I started the Squared Circle Podcast on October 19, 2019. Didn’t know what I was doing, jumped in headfirst with friends and that fizzled out but we’re still here.
Originally, the podcast was going to bring a spotlight on the indie scene but there was already another podcast doing that. Then it changed and stayed primarily a podcast where I talk about wrestling shows and give suggestions to help the industry. Now it’s a huge podcast with lots of episodes and now added interviews and it’s only going to continue to grow.
In this episode I talk about the journey of the podcast, my journey in wrestling, my journey in publishing, thanking Tama Tonga for indirectly helping me get confident to book wrestlers and interview them, answering Duke’s question, talking about Goddesses of War Wrestling and Battle of Athena, and telling you my next goals in life.
Goddesses of War Wrestling is heading to North Carolina on August 12th! In the above podcast I explain that I NEED YOUR HELP to get me there so I can do commentary for the matches!
All the companies are coming together to show care wrestlers for meet and greets and celebrate Andre The Giants memory. The company I work for, Goddesses of War Wrestling have scheduled matches and I want and I need to be there and tell the Goddesses stories.
We have:
Marie Valdomina (Champion) vs Rosemary
Savannah Evans vs The Amazonian (Fun House Women’s Champion)
