Unlike shows such as Bridgerton and Stranger Things, Netflix's latest number one title didn't have a bumper opening. It grew steadily over a week, which, in streaming terms, can be an eternity. It has now claimed the Netflix crown, having surpassed the streamer's other word-of-mouth sensation, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen. The new series is based on popular literary material, and is designed to appeal to fans of Prime Video shows such as Reacher and Bosch, as well as its own built-in audience. The OG audience certainly needed this, having survived a theatrical film that only attracted negative publicity for the source material.
