The shocking incident, captured on CCTV, shows Abhishek stabbing Kriti multiple times before slitting her throat. Kriti had moved to Bangalore for a promising career as a business development associate and quickly formed a close bond with a colleague. However, her advice to her friend about her relationship with Abhishek led to unforeseen consequences. Enraged by Kriti’s involvement, Abhishek committed the heinous act. He was later arrested in a bus stand in Madhya Pradesh, after police tracked his movements using technical assistance. He was apprehended on 19 July 2015 and confessed to murdering thirty children in total. He targeted the children of poor families in Delhi, Mundka, Samaypur, Badli, Begampur and Vijay Vihar and confessed to killing more than 30.His victims were primarily aged 4–6 years old.
