S.S. Minnesota

There are a lot of things to be concerned about right now in the Minnesota sports world. We’ve zoned in on the five most worrisome topics and rated them on a meter of 1 to 100. Kirk Cousins, Vikings, Fleck and Gophers.

Eric tries to stump Stephen with this week’s Random MN Athlete!

We’re talking a lot of Kirk Cousins this week because the Minnesota Vikings season depends on the performance of their very controversial quarterback. Should he be mad at Mike Zimmer, Everson Griffen or others? Is he overrated or underrated? We talk about it all!

But that’s not it! We also dip into NCAA football and the Big Ten’s new “alliance” with the PAC 12 and ACC. Oh and the Minnesota Gophers season kicks off next week vs a little known team, Ohio State University.

SS Minnesota is back after a little hiatus and the fall sports season is just getting started! Eric and Stephen kick off the show talking Mike Zimmer’s -- even more brutal than normal -- honesty, but there’s a lot to discuss across MN sports.

Should we believe the hype PJ Fleck and the Gophers are selling? Does Bill Guerin know what he’s doing and what do the Wolves need to do to make fans happy this season? Oh, and Stephen quizzes Eric on another “Random Minnesota Athlete” segment.

SS Minnesota has reached ten episodes and it might be the best yet. Nelson Cruz has been traded by the Twins so Eric and Stephen comb through every aspect of that deal, plus other deals that could be on the horizon.

Then, we talk about the “not mandatory” vaccine rules in the NFL and how the rest of the world is dealing with the same type of “not mandatory” pressure. This week, Stephen quizzes Eric on the “Random Minnesota Athlete” segment.

The latest episode of SS Minnesota is all about the Wild, after GM Bill Guerin bought out both Zach Parise and Ryan Suter on Tuesday, leaving the town in scramble mode.

Eric and Stephen dive deep into the when, why and how this all went down and what it means for the future of this team. Oh, and the "Random MN Athlete" segment this week is must-listen.

Gopher football is less than two months away so MSF has started its dig into the 2021 squad. Speaking of the U of M football team, PJ Fleck Hit Piece Guy wants to come on the show (or thinks he does).

Eric and Stephen will also get into the status and outlook of the ongoing Kirill Kaprizov contract talks. Oh, and Stephen has this week’s "Random MN Athlete".

We’re back for another week of S.S. Minnesota and Byron Buxton is hurt again, already. What should the Twins do next with their injury-prone superstar? Then, WTF is happening across the border with Greg Gard and Badger MBB players? We’ll also talk about the changing NCAA and Eric screws up this week’s “Random MN Athlete”.

We have a jam-packed show for episode six because the sports world is melting down around us. The NFL will force vaccines on players by not allowing them to do anything without. Meanwhile, the Vikings have been buying all offseason… Oh, and it’s time for the Twins to start selling. Let’s go!

The Wild have been knocked out of the playoffs and the Twins’ season is already in the trash. That means the Minnesota Vikings offseason will be the biggest talker of the summer. And it starts right now on S.S. Minnesota

The Minnesota Wild wound up ending their season more like old times, than anything new. Is Zach Parise on his way out or does Guerin want him to stay. Plus some other offseason notes to go along with Gopher football recruiting and maybe even some Twins (we’ll see if we have time).
