About our guests:

Emeritus Professor Carolyn Geczy is an experienced immunologist and Member of the Order of Australia. She inspired us with tales about her years of experience working as a leading woman in Science. 

Sian Liddy is a shark biologist who has recently completed her PhD. Sian gave us an insight into the world of sharks and their microbiome.

After a long break, we are back with another episode, which was recorded at the end of 2020.

In it, our year 12 students (Makayla and Cooper) chat with former South Sydney High School student, Dr Colin Kong. We ask him about his journey from student to doctor and the benefits and challenges of his work. He shares some great advice for any students listeners who may want to follow a similar path. We also discuss his fascinating research into cancer treatment and ask the difficult question... "how close are we to a cure?"

As we prepare to farewell our Year 12s, this episode (our very first episode - recorded during the height of the COVID19 pandemic) features a few of our finest.
