Who is this man? Jesus’ Identity and Mission (Week 4) - 14 March, 2021 - St Alban's Fulham
All through Jesus’ life, the people around him were asking the same question: who is this man? Is he a dangerous rebel, a blasphemer, a political revolutionary, the Son of God? As the gospels draw towards the crucifixion accounts, the question intensifies. Even as Jesus hangs on the cross, people continue to argue about who he really is. And the question remains current. You might say it’s the most important question we will answer in our lives. Our answer will affect how we live, how we hope, how we respond to a hurting world.
This Lent series is designed to explore some of the different facets of Jesus’ identity and mission in the gospels. Like looking at the faces of a diamond, as we look at Jesus’ life from different angles, the more we discover of who he is.
