The term "born again" has received much attention in some parts of the evangelical church, and some mockery from the wider world. But Jesus' encounter with Nicodemus demonstrates that the term "born again" is a positive affirmation of what all true believers experience through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus still changes lives today: more often than not this is a process of coming to realise who Jesus is, coming to trust in him personally and finding the life which is promised in his name.
