Sue spoke to us from Revelation 21:1-8

Here are some questions to think about...

1. Is there anything getting in the way of your relationship with God? Bring those things to the God of grace, knowing the blood of Jesus covers it and makes you a new creation.

2. Where can you see God has been walking with you so far this year? Share this with a friend

3. Have you lost your fizz or your thirst for God? Pray for God to increase your desire for him

Will spoke to us from Exodus 3:1-15 about God's Calling.

Here are some questions to think about:

1. Where are the places in your life where God has met you?

2. What is God calling out to you? Where or what is He calling you into?

3. What is stopping you from responding to God in this season? Discuss this and pray about it with a friend or family member.

Will spoke to us about the Jesus being the New Adam this week, and his reading was from Luke 4:1-13.

Some questions to think about:

1. Are you currently feeling tempted to be self-sufficient, promote yourself or prove yourself? Bring these things to God.

2. What needs of others can you see around you? Think about the ways you may be able to help them.

3. Where do you need to experience the kingdom of God breaking into your life? What about His blessing, rule and power? Pray about this with a family member or a friend.

Listen in to our new Vicar's first sermon at St Andrew's, marking the beginning of a new season. Will spoke on Mark 1:29-39, the importance of the desert place, and God making streams flow in the desert.

Andy Pollard shared with us this morning from John 14:1-7.

Here are some questions to reflect on:

1. What does it mean to you in this season for Jesus to be the way, the truth and the life?

2. On a pilgrimage you only carry what is absolutely necessary. Take some time to review what you are carrying / your priorities. What dead weight are you carrying that you can lay down?

3. Jesus is the way, and he leads us together. Who are the people in your spiritual family that you are on this pilgrimage with?

This week's reading was Acts 2:42-47 and Blair spoke to us about what it could look like for us as we become "New Church" together on Fit for Mission.

Here are some questions to think about:

1. Thinking back over the years, what is the one biggest answer that God gave to you during your time as a Christian? Give thanks to God for his goodness to you at that time. Consider sharing this with others so you can encourage them that God answers prayer.

2. Thinking about your current situation at Saint Andrews, what is the biggest question you have on your mind at the moment? Ask God to show you an answer, and consider sharing with others at Saint Andrews so they can pray and support you.

3. Thinking about our new church moving forward, ask God what part you should be playing and consider sharing your answer with the church leaders so we can help you achieve it.

This week's reading was Isaiah 40:21-31 and we spoke about what it looks like to build new opportunities for hope. If you are listening again, you will need a paper boat, and there is a good 'Wiki How' about how to quickly make one from a sheet of A4 paper.

Here are some questions to think about.

1. Where do you normally go with your anxieties, dreams, fears and hopes? Looking back on the last year, is it a good place to take them?

2. What three things do you know about God with all your heart and all your soul? Write them on your boat.

3. What are your anxieties, dreams, hopes and fears at the moment? Take these to God. You may want to write them on a piece of paper and put that inside your boat.

Andy Pollard continues our series "New" speaking on Matthew 4:1-11, challenging us on our Appetite for the Word, Attitude to God and Affection for God.

Some questions to think about:

1. Looking back on 2022, how did I grow? How my your discipleship of Jesus going?

2. Is Jesus my Saviour? How am I doing at making Him Lord?

3. The word of God must have the greatest prominence in our lives - it brings us life. How am I consuming the word of God?

Rev Sue Jamieson speaks to us right at the beginning of the year kicking of our Sermon Series "New". Her reading is from Matthew 4:18-22, and here are some questions to think about off the back of this:

1. What was it like when Jesus first asked you to ‘come’?

2. Are you following Jesus or following his followers?

3. Where are you on your journey with Jesus? Are you paddling in the shallows when you could be plunging into the deep?
