Welcome to the St. Ann Lenten Reflection Podcast!
The Gospel Reading is from Luke 16:19-31.
Lectio Divina offers an opportunity to want a more personal and intimate encounter with scripture. It is a spiritual practice that takes prayer beyond just a study of Scripture and helps us to draw closer to God as our loving Father. Through the four steps of Lectio Divina—Read, Meditate, Prayer, and Rest—we can focus on the presence of God in our lives in a more meaningful way than through simply studying the Bible. As we dive deeper into the Word of God, we find that scripture begins to interact with our life and guides us toward a deeper connection with Christ. We are reminded that it’s ok to want something more out of prayer; Lectio Divina provides an opportunity for genuine connection with our Lord.
