"We are baptized. And what really destroys us, as we know, in that bond that we have with the Lord and with God, is basically the evil of sin," Father Reynaldo B. Matunog tells us for the fourth episode of our Divine Mercy podcast, for our celebration of the Third Sunday of Lent. "And that is why if we are talking about water to satisfy our thirst and being able to live. Because water is life — not only for us, but even for creation, the environment, the plants, and all this. But also for cleansing. And that's really important, at that satisfaction that we have when we have that thirst and being able to drink water. And it can be physical or brotherly, or spiritual. They are so profound in all this that we see. For us to sustain our life and have that satisfaction that only the Lord can give, we have to know him, knowing the source of this living source. And above all, cleansing us of our sins."
