'Columbans respond to fire victims' by Jorge Parades - CHILE

In the June issue of The Far East Magazine this year Columbans published a story from Chile on 'The Great Fire of Valparaiso' which in April had destroyed thousands of homes of the poor, many of whom live in illegal squatter camps like El Vergel.

'Under a bamboo roof' - PHILIPPINES

We met Columban Fr Dom and Fr Frank in late 2010 and found, to our surprise, that they operated (amongst other commitments to Columban Missionary work) a centre known as CELL (Centre for Ecozoic Living and Learning). We found CELL to be an oasis of green vibrant natural growth and beauty only a hop, skip and a jump from our new home.
