This Lent, Fr. Tom Loomis isn't aiming for perfect – and he suggests maybe we shouldn't either! In this homily, he gets real about temptation (featuring a very relatable donut story!), and how facing our struggles, just like Jesus did in the desert (Luke 4:1-13), can actually bring us closer to God. He talks about the lure of appetite, power, and letting the world define us, instead of our faith.
Fr. Tom also throws out a great question for the St. Felix community: What does that towering church steeple really say about who we are? How can we help each other out, be honest about our slip-ups, and live this Lent together? It's a call to be vulnerable, real, and to find Jesus in the midst of it all.
Recorded live at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha, Minnesota.
