We continue our walk through the catechism with the 2nd commandment

We learn from Luther the meaning of the 1st Commandment as we start working through the catechism on Wednesday nights

In this world of tribulation, how are we to always rejoice??

Served by God, sent to serve our neighbor

What do the angels do for us? Do we really think about the blessing they are as protectors?

God does not desire any to die, He calls us to turn from our sinful life, to repent and believe.

God's ways are not our ways, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Do not view circumstances according to your worldly thinking but rather know that in all things God is at work.

How often shall we forgive? We like to track things, so it's natural to keep track of wrongs - Jesus says otherwise. Always forgive, not counting.

We continue in the vision of Daniel and hear about an antichrist who will come. Cling to the Word of God, do not be deceived by those speaking wonderful/terrible things.

Daniel's prayer is a great lesson for us in how to approach God.
