In a world of sickness, sorrow and pain, we often long for something better. We long for our true home. This week we see from Psalm 120 how, when we are longing for home in a world of lies, conflict and sorrow, through Jesus we can cry out to God in our distress with confident hope.

Who is it you want? This week we are confronted in John 18 with two very different characters. One who seems like the saviour we would want, bold, headstrong, and willing to fight, and the other who is the saviour we desperately need, willing to go to the cross for his people. So, who is it you want?

What does Jesus pray for you? This week we see from John 17 how, by praying for himself, his disciples and all those who will one day believe, Jesus gives us a vast, cosmic perspective of how the loving unity of the godhead will unite us in His love, so the whole world will see that we share in the Father's love for His Son.

How does Jesus comfort his followers in their sorrow and grief? This week we see from John 16:4-33 how Jesus comforts his disciples by revealing how the Father, the Son and the Spirit will transform our sorrow to joy and peace because he has overcome the world.

What is the secret to a fruitful Christian life? This week we see from John 15:1-16:4 how at the height of his farewell, Jesus commands his disciples to bear the fruit of love by abiding in him in a hostile world.

How can we find real peace in an uncertain world? This week we see from John 14 how Jesus comforts his disciples in their uncertainty by assuring them of his preparations for them, comforting them with his rich promises and ultimately pointing to his certain presence with them through the Holy Spirit.

What does it look like to be truly loving? This week we see from John 13 how Jesus acts out the gospel pattern which shapes true Christian love and calls us to truly and deeply love one another as he has loved us.

Welcome the King of Glory.  At least that’s what we should do.  But everyone reacts differently to all of Jesus miraculous signs and teaching.  See some people honour, respect, and treat Jesus with dignity.  While others hide their belief or treat Jesus with scorn and contempt.  How do you treat Jesus?
